Thoughts on the Nature of God
And a little about His kingdom.
I run or take Archer Rawdawg for a long walk almost every day. Some days I do both which can take a couple of hours. I do not listen to music or podcasts on these mini journeys. I listen to the sounds of nature or suburbia or wherever I happen to be traveling at the time. And I take these opportunities to be alone with my own thoughts rather than listening to music or some popular podcast.
Most recently, as I anticipate the arrival of spring in central Tennessee, I find myself contemplating the nature of God. I don’t think that is particularly unusual. History indicates that people have been contemplating the nature of God since we first developed the ability to contemplate.
Of course, if we think about the nature of God, then we have to believe that God exists. Otherwise, it’s a moot point. But I do believe in the existence of God and here are some of my thoughts.
The existence of God is self-evident.
The very fact that I am sitting here typing these words and that at some point, you will read them proves that God exists. Our existence, the existence of the planet Earth, and the existence of our universe is proof that a higher and all-powerful entity exists.
