Stanley, thank you for reading and commenting. Yes, I am a believer. And yes, I would like for everyone else to believe as well. But if you don’t that isn’t something I will lose sleep over. Unlike some who believe they must try to persuade everyone to believe as they do, I am content to simply state my beliefs and let others carry on with theirs. Now, if anyone wants to sit down in person for a theological conversation I am more than happy to, but I won’t attempt a conversation that isn’t mutual. And I won’t engage in an internet argument.

As has been pointed out by other commenters, the Bible has disturbing passages. Imperfect humans carrying out despicable deeds. But what is wrong with the teachings of Jesus? Love others as yourself. Forgive others. Be less judgmental. Is that such a bad way to live? Is it so bad if I wish others would believe and live a life based on those three teachings?

Stay safe and well.
