I too was around guns as I grew up in the country. During my years in law enforcement, I carried a gun on my belt more days than not. I still have my service weapon that was given to me upon retirement, and I have my father's which was given to him upon his retirement. I occasionally carry one or the other in my vehicle but not on my person these days. They are sentimental possessions in a certain way, but they are also tools which I hope I never need to use.
